Technique Blog Hop - Base & Bling

Welcome to the May edition of the Technique Blog Hop.  This month, we are focusing on the Base & Bling line offered by Close to my Heart.  These items are designed to be used to create jewelry (as seen previously in my Base & Bling Jewelry Bar).  We were challenged to use any item(s) from this line in a non-jewelry project.  If you are coming from Terry's blog, you are on the right track.
Part of the line includes 1" x 1" stickers that are meant to be applied inside a pendant, then covered with a glass piece.  The stickers on each sheet coordinate nicely together in terms of style and color.  I decided to use 3 stickers from the Dreamer Style Sheet to create a card.  I used a sentiment from a retired CTMH stamp set, Scrapbook Statements - Poets.  I just love this quote and think this would make a wonderful graduation card!
Close to my Heart Materials used:
Z1976 Base & Bling Dreamer Style Sheet
Z2173 Slate Exclusive Inks Stamp Pad
Z1151 3-D Foam Tape
CTMH Cardstock in White Daisy, Sorbet, Lagoon and Slate
Retired Stamp Set: Scrapbook Statements - Poets

All items can be purchased by visiting my CTMH website.

  1. this card is awesome. It reminds me of Indians with the feathers. What a great saying to put along with the stickers. The sheets havesome awesome colors in them.

    1. Thanks Terry - The feathers made me think of dreamcatchers....and that brought me to the saying!

  2. Fabulous card! Your use of the Base & Bling stickers and layout of the card is perfect.

    1. Thank you - I kept wanting to add something to it, but decided it was perfect as is. I like the pops of color against the white!
